Chicago Rapper Capo Shot and Killed in Broad Daylight

Chief Keef, brown jacket, walks into Juvenile Court on Jan. 15, 2013, with friend Capo.

Capo, a Chicago rapper part of Chief Keef's Glo Gang crew, was shot and killed in the South Shore neighborhood Saturday afternoon during a string of shootings that may also include the death of a 13-month-old.
Capo's alleged killers are suspected of running over and killing a 13-month-old baby in a stroller as they fled the scene in broad daylight. While two people are in custody, no charges have been filed as of this afternoon.
The 22-year-old was shot in the back and hip while standing outside in the 7700 block of South Kingston Avenue at about 1:40 p.m. Saturday. A video of the aftermath shows him on the ground, bleeding badly as bystanders coax him to hang on.
He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, but he died. TMZ first reported that the dead man was Capo. Fox Chicago, quoting Capo's manager Renaldo Hess, said the rapper, real name Marvin Carr, was dead.
“He was a good kid. The streets of Chicago is something,” Hess said, according to Fox.“He was murdered. I don’t understand what is going on with all these kids.
According to a close friend, Capo was well-respected in the South Shore neighborhood, where he lived. People knew him as a "good dude,"and everyone listened to his music.
"He was a great man, and an aspiring artist. ... People around here are sort of like a big family, and I think what happened just hit us all hard," Yancy [friend] said. "To strike a man down in broad daylight like that...I just don't know what could be on [the shooters'] minds. They must have no conscience."
