Adrian Peterson Suspended for the Remainder of the 2014 Season Without Pay

Today, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was

suspended without pay for the remainder of the 2014 NFL season

for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

Peterson had been on the exempt/commissioner's permission list

which kept him off the field, but with pay, since September.  This

comes following allegations that he disciplined his

4-year-old son too harshly with a switch.

Peterson plead 'no contest', to a misdemeanor charge of 'reckless

assault,' which is a far cry from the felony child abuse charge,

which was his initial charge.

Peterson plans on appealing the NFL's decision.
