"The Shield" Actor Michael Jace Kills Wife and Calls 911

Michael Jace arrest
If you watched the FX Show "The Shield" you must remember Michael Jace 51, who played the black rookie cop turned detective in the series that ran from 2002 to 2008.
Well, looks like Jace took matters into his own hands on Monday when he shot and killed his wife, April Jace 40, and then called the police on himself.  A police news release suspects this was a domestic violence situation that went from bad to worse.
Jace is in custody, charged with homicide with bail set at $1 million.
Jace often played a law enforcement or military officer on television shows; I guess he took his job home with him.  He is credited with roles in "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Private Practice," "The Mentalist," "Burn Notice" and "NYPD Blue."  As well as playing Michael Jordan in the 1999 TV movie about the NBA star, "Michael Jordan: An American Hero."Jace played Officer Brown in Russell Crowe's 2009 film "State of Play," and he portrayed a Black Panther member in the 1994 blockbuster movie "Forrest Gump."
What a tragedy!  We'll be praying that the family can get through this!
