XBoxOne vs. PS4

So if you have a few extra tax refund bucks to spend on a gaming system for yourself or the kid(s) or the family, and you're wondering what to get, maybe this can help you with your decision.

Sony is reporting that they sold 4.2 million PS4's at the end of 2013.  This was announced during the company's CES press conference on Tuesday.

This far surprasses the XBox 1 at just 1.2 million systems sold by the end of 2013. However, Monday morning, Microsoft announced they had sold 3 million systems.

That number solidly eclipses the number of Xbox One consoles sold by Microsoft sold in 2013 by 1.2 million. Microsoft's blog announced on Monday morning that the company sold 3 million consoles.

The PlayStation 4 retails for $399; the Xbox One retails for $499.
