Flavor Flav Ticketed for Speeding/Driving Without a License on His Way to His Mom's Funeral...Facing Bigger Charges in Vegas That Could Land Him in Prison for 12 Years

In trouble again: New York State police say Flavor Flav was ticketed for speeding and driving without a license while en route to his mother's funeral in suburban New York

Flavor Flav 54, whose legal name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr, was stopped on Thursday and ticked after being clocked at 79 mph in a 55 mph zone. Despite having 16 suspensions on his license, NYPD let Flav go so he could attend his mother's funeral.  he is due back in court in Hempstead, New York on January 28th.

But that's not the biggest of Flav's legal worries.  Flav, who resides in Las Vegas, has pleaded not guilty to charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon and child endangerment with a deadly weapon.  These charges could get him up to 12 years.  Flav is currently out on bond and the trial is set for April 28th.

He is accused of threatening his longtime girlfriend's then-17-year-old son with a butcher knife during a family dispute. The terms of  his release required him to stay out of trouble.

Flav's lawyer in Las Vegas, Kristina Wildeveld, said she didn't think the New York case should affect his Nevada case.

We'll be praying for you Flav.
