Webbie Arrested for Allegedly Brutally Beating a Female

No stranger to the legal system, Southern rapper Webbie has reportedly been arrested on a battery and robbery charge as reports claim he physically assaulted a woman Thursday (September 13) morning.

Details of his arrest began circulating online early yesterday afternoon.
"Rapper Webbie has been arrested for battery and robbery -- after allegedly kicking a woman down a flight of stairs and filching $340 from her pocketbook ... but Web tells us, none of it's true. According to a police report filed in Baton Rouge, LA, Webbie is accused of attacking a woman inside a Chase Suite Hotel early this morning after being banned from the premises -- kicking her down two sets of stairs before swiping her purse and stealing $340 in cash. The details surrounding the altercation are unclear." (TMZ)
Despite the accusations, Webbie's camp is currently denying the crimes took place.
According to the report, Webbie was arrested on the scene at approximately 2:30 AM. A rep for Webbie tells TMZ, the rapper met the woman behind the accusations at a party last night -- but he never attacked her, or stole her money. The rep admits Webbie took money from the woman's purse -- but insists the money is his ... and the woman in question had stolen it from him. The rep says Webbie -- who was released today on $9,000 bond -- plans to fight the accusations. (TMZ)
No stranger to fake reports, the rapper previously denied reports of his involvement in a fatal shooting last January.
"the internet strikes again with them dumb a** articles about me...," he tweeted Monday evening.
"thanks for the FREE publicity though"
"and kill them rumors about me and Boosie beefing.. yall know d*mn well that sh*t aint true. FREE BOOSIE" (Webbie's Twitter)
Last year, BET personality Rocsi Diaz broke her silence on Webbie allegedly sexually harrassing her during a "106 & Park" taping.
"In any light that a woman feels disrespected, and I have thick skin, but when you're at your job and somebody sexually harasses you in a manner that is very vulgar and disgusting, you know, I have no shame in sticking up for myself and telling you you're improper right now, I'm at work, we're on set, there's children around us, you're really out of line right now" Diaz said. "I think people should more so applaud a woman sticking up for herself and the people around her for sticking up for herself than allowing that kind of behavior to happen. I think that we allow that behavior to happen too much in our society and we don't put light on people being inappropriate." (Nitecap)
