Gwyneth Paltrow Explains Her Tweet of the "N" Word

On Friday, the Oscar winner hung with Beyonce at Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Paris stop of their Watch the Throne tour — where Paltrow sent out a tweet that got her in trouble.
While jamming, fellow concert-goer The Dream (producer Terius Nash) tweeted a photo of the “Avengers” star dancing onstage. She tweeted back, “Ni**as in paris for real.”
Her use of the N-word – even though “Ni**as in Paris” is the title of a Throne song and she used asterisks to replace th “gg” – caused an immediate backlash among her followers and reared the age-old debate among blacks over who is “allowed” to use the word, reports the LA Times.
Paltrow responded to backlash by tweeting, “Hold up. It’s the title of the song.”

The Dream
Nash, who also got some heat for defending Paltrow, told his own followers that he was the one who typed Paltrow’s controversial reply into her phone.
“Fyi Sorry for the [confusion] I typed Ni**as in paris for real from Gwens Phone my bad…,” he wrote. ” … please excuse it! We were lit!”
