G. Dep Faces A Minimum of 15 Years in Prison for 1993 Murder

New York rapper G. Dep confessed to a murder 20 years prior and now is facing at least 15 years in prison.
On Tuesday, G. Dep, born Trevell Coleman, was convicted by a jury of for killing a man while trying to rob him 1993.
Defense lawyer Anthony Ricco says the rapper remains convinced he did the right thing by coming forward.
G. Dep, now 37, went to a police station in December 2010. He said he’d fired at someone on a Harlem corner when he was about 17 to 19. Authorities then matched his account with the 1993 death of John Henkel.
G. Dep had hits inthe early 2000s with “Special Delivery” and “Let’s Get It.”
