WARNING - Arsenic Found in Baby Formula

Health warning for parents who use organic infant formulas.

Researchers at Dartmouth College say they may contain high levels of arsenic.
The toxin comes from an ingredient called organic brown rice syrup. Other studies have also found high levels of arsenic in brown rice.

The Dartmouth study says arsenic was also found in organic cereals, energy bars and energy supplements.

According to the study, parents who use baby formula with organic brown rice syrup should limit consumption.
The EPA says chronic exposure to low levels of inorganic arsenic has been linked to increased risks of bladder, lung and skin cancer, as well as Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
