Catholic League Upset With Nicki Minaj for Grammy's Performance

The Catholic League is upset with the organizers of the Grammy Awards for allowing Nicki Minaj to give a performance filled with religious imagery and a fictional exorcism. The act also included dancing altar boys, a cathedral and monks, all during her song “Roman Holiday.”
Nicki also showed up to the event with a red hooded robe, on the arm of an elderly man dressed as the pope.
The Catholic League’s president has called the performance “vulgar,” adding, “If [she’s] possessed is surely an open question, but what is not in doubt is the irresponsibility of the RecordingAcademy.”
