Diddy has confirmed recent reports about him accidentally tossing out his diamond ring while passing out money during a "106 & Park" appearance earlier this week.

According to reports, Diddy had the audience members frisked when he realized his ring was missing.

Uh oh, what did Diddy do now. The rapper accidentally tossed one of his diamond rings into a crowd while performing for BET's 106 & Park show (filmed on 57th Street), and ended the performance with a frisking of audience members! Attendees were treated "like common criminals" once the cameras cut -- and they took their grievances to Twitter to kill time, one saying: "Ok diddy lost his ring... and now there frisking all the kids like this is Rikers lite." Puff's ring is reportedly valued at around $20,000.

It was not clear which of the rapper's rings disappeared at the CBS studios on West 57th Street, but a staffer told the audience it was worth $20,000. "He ain't getting' it back," one witness said. "Someone pocketed that, and they probably took it to the nearest jeweler." (The New York Post)

The rap mogul hinted at the incident in a Twitter posting earlier this week.

"The craziest sh*t just happened to me," he wrote on Tuesday (October 13. "lol I guess its sh*ttin on me season.. Enjoy it while it lasts!!!!! lol life is crazy!" (Diddy's Twitter)
